In early April 2006 Adam Defended his Doctoral Dissertation. Jan and Lew were in Attendance and were sooo proud of him and his accomplishment. They were pleasantly surprised when Adam's Committee voiced their Recommendations that he submit his Dissertation to Book Publishers.

John Adam Johns ready to Defend. That Stack would make a Weighty Tome, Eh? Fast Forward to the Present.
J Adam Johns's first Book. 259 pages including.... a 22 page Bibliography. A Scholarly Work indeed.
From the Back Cover.
It won the Elizabeth Agee Prize for Best Manuscript in American Literature. It is on stock at Amazon.com. Lew and Jan are sooo Proud of Adam, a Brilliant young Intellectual. In a World of rapidly increasing Complexity this is the kind of man this country desperately needs more of.... And just got. Barack Obama, a Brilliant young College Professor, will be our next President. A Thinking Machine; always analyzing and assessing. No more "shooting from the hip" or "by the seat of his pants" in the Oval Office.
For election day dinner it was suggested that something "Liberal" should be served.
Mushrooms stuffed with Parmesan, Parsley, Garlic and Shallots was served on a Bed of Arugula. Northern Spy Hard Cider was the beverage. Perfect.... and so were the Election returns. A Gale Force Breath of Fresh Air is Blowing toward Washington,DC.

37th Anniversary

'a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.', Jan's Dad escorted her Down the Aisle. Well actually the Year was 1971.... and the Place was the little Church in Castle Garden,Pa. Click on any PIC to enlarge it.
The Bride was (of course) Radiant.
Just Married on a Beautiful Fall Day (beside their first RV).
The Newlyweds. * * * * *
Timewarp to the Present.
Some people think Lew and Jan are ....well, a bit strange. They think the best way to celebrate a Wedding anniversary is to go RoVing.
Anniversary Camping Marco.
What better way to Celebrate than to go for a Walk in the Woods. (Slippery Rock Creek again)
Of course all that Walking causes.... (you know where this is going, right?) an Appetite. When Jan was a Teenager (in a galaxy far, far away) The Hoagie Shop was The Place. Sooo....
It is still there. They still make their own Sauce from their own Tomatoes. Anniversary Dinner. Yumm!
