All animals need to leave their nest today!

The Ashuwillticook Rails Trail is our favorite bike ride in this area.  Its been rather rainy the last couple of days.  But yesterday we went to the trail.   During our ride,  I saw literally a dozen baby rabbits.  I think every mother in Adams, MA including the Mama Rabbits were saying go outside and play its not that cold.  At least it isn't raining!  I agreed.  It was nice yesterday to hit the trail and bike a few miles.

Today while biking Lew heard a Hermit Thrush very close by.  This trail is the only place where Lew has heard not only the Hermit Thrush but a Wood Thrush singing at the same time and in the same location.  This isn't his picture but one from creative commons.  A great source for public domain material.

We also saw a very large goose family who managed to hiss at us.

The trail also takes you across a wetlands where the sound of frogs particularly the bullfrog can be heard.

All in all a nice day.
