It dawned on me..... for many years, we arrived back in Bethel Park in time to start work on the second to the last Monday in August. We frequently arrived late Friday night or Saturday so that we were SURE to be on time for work on Monday. This year is different. This year is special. It is the first year that I am NOT back to start the school year. In previous years, when we left Bethel Park (usually on the last day of school) Lew would have a lovely veggie salad made for supper. This year I made it today to take Westward Ho!
We have this beginning of the summer ritual....we get to a KOA campground around Columbus and eat the wonderful salad...then sing along with Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical! We drink wine and scotch and sing along! And instead of the beginning of summer we are enjoying our salad and Buffy and wine tonight! To celebrate a new forever summer!
