A house in Vermont
Nate lives in this house. The house is located in the woods of Vermont.
Its on a south facing slope and has big solar collectors. That's a greenhouse for the plants in the foreground.
The propane ran out while we were there. They used 95# of propane for five months which is all of the fossil fuel heating of the house and the hot water. They also burned 1 cord of wood.
This is an essay that Amy wrote about energy uses and her philosophy. Its called "A love letter to wind Turbines". Chris has written how they came up with the house design.
