I can not even start to describe our last month.  We tried as hard as we could to defy the fates.  Seems like every turn was a no.  We tried to get the insurance people to help with the mold on the ceiling....why...it is denied.

We tried to remove all the insulation and the foil that father used to make it "warm" in the house...we found ants and cockroaches. After the mold issues...

We tried to save some of my Mom's stuff from the era of "Reitz's Le Buff"...it is all either eaten or has a funky brown growth in the mold.

Today we tried to save the bookshelves that Wade had made and they had black mold on a part of it!  We still moved them out...but the mold was active.

It really seems like the more we try....the harder the task....

Finally today...I went and pulled the breakers on the electric.  We are done.  We say goodbye to our family house and all the past ghosts....Goodbye  June....Stanley.....Ernie...TV....Goldie...and all the other creatures...groundhogs to bears....

Maybe our fate is meant for another direction....We left what we could in the old picnic shelter...it seems the roof of that structure will collapse in the near future...but hopefully the ghosts will have some place to stay.
