Ithaca

June 19-June 21. We like Robert Treman SP just South of Ithaca, NY as a stop-over on the way to Vermont.

The cold water in the swimming hole
gave Jan some relief from
Calf muscle pain. We both overdid
in West Virginia.

Lucifer Falls had more
water than we usually see.
While walking the upper gorge loop
I was excited to finally
spot a Hermit Thrush
after listening to their
songs most of my life.

  2. Robert Treman has the same geomorphology as the more famous Watkins Glen. The Great Glacier carved the Finger Lakes which then melted. The surrounding plateau now drains into the lakes via these beautiful steep narrow canyons.
